So this weekend was very busy! Saturday we decided we wanted to venture out on a shopping trip. We were being very brave on this one because the shopping center we were going to was an hour away and we had several stores we wanted to go to inside the shopping center. So we left right after feeding Rhett, stopped for muffins, drove to the shopping center and nursed him before going inside. We were able to go to every store we planned but while in the last store he started screaming so daddy had to stay and check out while Rhett and I went out to the car to nurse again. After that we drove home, stopping on the way for lunch for daddy and I. Overall. Rhett did really well! I am very proud!
Sunday we did Target and the grocery store and of course football. Our team's game wasn't on TV so we went to my sister's house to watch it in the evening because they have the special program that plays all the games and they recorded the game for us.
At my sister's house something else happened...
we gave Rhett his first bottle. :( I put a sad face because he took the bottle no problem and downed the milk so fast! We gave him 3 ounces and he drank all of that plus I nursed him for a little bit after. Like I said my boy can eat and loves his momma's milk! I was a bit sad because I felt like when I nursed him that was our special time together and the fact he didn't even miss me made me a little emotional. Plus they say for the momma not to be in the room when the bottle is first introduced so I didn't even get to watch the whole thing go down! Luckily I had my sister be paparazzi so I didn't miss the opportunity to have the whole thing documented!
Rhett was already hungry and didn't want to wait for pictures to be taken.
Taking the bottle no problem!
Didn't seem to be missing me at all :(
What a big boy!
The best part of the whole experience was that my hubby loved doing it and can't wait to do it again! I guess that's the sacrifice I made for him.
Like I said, busy, busy weekend but lots of fun because we are all together and I love that!
